{"id":1047,"date":"2026-08-22T21:07:55","date_gmt":"2026-08-22T13:07:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.myvoipapp.com\/blog\/?p=1047"},"modified":"2026-08-22T21:07:55","modified_gmt":"2026-08-22T13:07:55","slug":"minidnserver","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.myvoipapp.com\/blog\/2026\/08\/22\/minidnserver\/","title":{"rendered":"miniDNServer"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>We have recently released a small piece of software: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.myvoipapp.com\/minidnserver\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">miniDNServer<\/a> (abbreviated as MDNS), which mainly addresses two needs related to domain name resolution:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(1) We want to provide domain name access for various computing devices on the internal network, thereby enhancing the flexibility of network deployment. For example, a company&#8217;s internal NAS server can be set up to be accessed via the domain name &#8220;<code>nas.local<\/code>&#8220;. MDNS provides DNS services for various devices on the internal network through &#8220;<code>DNS over UDP<\/code> (DoU)&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(2) Considering the hostile nature of the public network environment, we want to be able to access public DNS servers using encrypted methods when accessing external domains, avoiding various interferences with DNS results.
